MT Textile tables and how they work

Understanding MT Textile Tables (simple examples)

Brad's MT Textile also creates tables on the fly. You can even create semi complex tables as well. Here are some examples I created as I was experimenting with MT Textile Tables.

Picking apart a MT Textile example - closer look

The shaded blue area shows the first 2 rows if code. The rows spans across 2 column cells (column span) as show by \2 below and then are followed by 2 cells downward /2 (rowspan).

The above is followed by a hard return.

Next 2 additional rows are added under the first (shown in blue) using this code:

After the last hard return, the row (colored in grey) is added. 3 cells are placed in line so you get the final table looking like this:

Notice though that the {background-color:#ccc} precedes the entire row so that the color shows up in all 3 cells.
